Legend has it that each year on eve of December 25th, Mr. Claus leaves the North Pole with sleigh filled with presents to deliver to good boys and girls throughout the vast world. This year, Santa decided to switch things up a bit. Instead of receiving help from reindeer and elves, the generous employees of the Milwaukee Secure Detention Facility and Concepts Plus, LLC were Santa’s helpers. MSDF and Concepts Plus, LLC organized two independent ‘toy drives’ to collect special items to stock the PAX Treat Cart this holiday season. We remain overwhelmed by the surplus of love collected via their efforts. And, we are excited to report that the PAX Cart was simply no match for the surplus of gifts collected by these two groups.
The arrival of the PAX Treat Cart always brings smiles to the warriors undergoing treatment in the HOT Unit at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. However, during the time of year when kids most want to be in the comfort of their homes, surrounded by their loved ones – the presence of the PAX Treat Cart was especially appreciated. We have no doubt the PaxLove felt throughout the HOT Unit will long be cherished as a Christmas gift to remember.
