With smiles stretching from ear to ear, and hearts swelling with PaxLove, we are thrilled to share wonderful news about two of our beloved Warrior Girls.
As you may recall, Ms. Mabel was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma almost exactly one year ago. After several surgeries and rounds of chemotherapy, Mabel completed her treatment in November. Protocol requires Mabel to regularly undergo scans to monitor her NED (No Evidence of Disease) status. At her scan last week, Mabel got the news we were all anxiously awaiting: she remains in remission. Ms. Mabel is cancer free!
PAF celebrates this wonderful news with Mabel, her family, and everyone who continues to so generously provide love and support throughout their journey.
Kathryn was also the recipient of news worth smiling about this week. After a grueling 45 day at Children’s Hospital, Kathryn the Great returned home on June 12th – just in time for summer! Her mom, Tracy, reports that Kathryn endured her treatment and hospital stay with a level of resiliency and maturity that few adults possess.
After completing the first stage of her treatment, 100% of her blood and bone marrow have been replaced with Tracy’s cells. True to Proud Mama form, Tracy beams with pride that she is able to say, “Kathryn has all of my blood cells!”
Kathryn has a long road ahead, starting with regular follow up visits to the MACC clinic for close monitoring. Please keep Kathryn and her family in your thoughts as she enters this next phase of her recovery.
PAF sends good, sweet PaxLove hugs and kisses to our special Warriors Girls. We are humbly honored to call your own very own.
xoxo,
PAF
