PAX is excited to unveil our new Financial Assistance Program (FAP)!
This initiative, independent of our Warrior Adoption Program, was established to expand our financial outreach by providing a grant to local families who have a child undergoing treatment for cancer. PAX committed to supporting twenty different children. Although this program was just rolled out in February 2015, PAX is proud to have already awarded all twenty grants!
The warriors we support could not make it through their grueling treatments, or the unpredictable – but always chaotic schedules brought about by childhood cancer, without their loving and dedicated parents. So many of the wonderful moms and dads we support have reduced their work hours to be at their children’s side as they endure treatment. They do so at a time when their household expenses increase to cover deductibles, purchase prescription drugs, buy meals on the go and pay for gas to make the ever-frequent trips to and from the hospital.
Mother’s Day and Father’s Day quickly approaching. We felt it was the perfect time to honor these brave moms and dads. Therefore, 100% of donations PAX receives during May and June will be used to provide additional grants to families currently in the trenches of childhood cancer.
