September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
Please join our ever-growing Army of Love as we ramp up our plight to generate childhood cancer awareness.
How can you Go Gold in September? We are glad you asked! Here are 12 ways you can join forces with PAX frontline!
1) Know the facts.
Childhood cancer is the #1 cause of death by disease in children. It causes more child deaths than Asthma, Cystic Fibrosis, Diabetes and Pediatric AIDS combined.
Less than 4% of the National Cancer Institute Budget is allocated to pediatric cancer research. (And there are more types of childhood cancer than you can count on your fingers. On both hands.)
American Cancer Society only gives a penny (or less) out of every dollar they receive to pediatric cancer.
Currently, there is not a Pediatric Oncologist on the NCI Board of Directors. Without a vote to weigh in on decisions surrounding critical funding – our children don’t stand a chance.
2) Send an email / write a letter to your local, state, federal legislators. Tell them our children matter. Tell them our children are worth more than 4%. Tell them how your life has been affected, changed, devastated by childhood cancer. Tell them we will not go away until we will move this mountain. Tell them Paxton sent you.
3) Wear Gold this month. When people ask why your face is donned in gold glitter…why you loosely resemble Cleopatra…the reason you’re putting Mr. T to shame? TELL THEM! Generate awareness by being obnoxiously, sparkly, awesomely Gold.
4) Sign up to be a PAX volunteer for the 2015 – 2016 calendar year. PAX is always looking for help with new initiatives. You’ll be as excited as we are when you hear what we have brewing behind the scenes!

5) Encourage a local business, or one you own, to Go Gold for childhood cancer.
6) Chalk the sidewalks with childhood cancer statistics!
7) Dance on a table while wearing Gold. (Extra credit for photos or videos.)
8) Turn your social media icons gold, or to the PAX heart…a photo of a special Little Warrior who’s inspired you.
9) Donate goodies to Paxton’s Treat Cart in lieu of a Starbuck’s run every Friday this month.
10) Pledge a monetary donation in honor of Paxton and his brave fight and beautiful soul.

11) Speak Paxton’s name. Tell his story. Highlight that he was so desperately wanted – and his arrival was one of the most anticipated events of 2012 – and of all time. Ever. Remember to include how loved, adored, cherished and missed he is – every.single.day. Talk to him throughout the day. Blow him kisses before you go to sleep at night.
12) Spread PaxLove wherever you roam.
