For as long as I can remember, I have associated the act of feeding another person with love, caring, or the simple kindness of offering food to someone in need, just because you can. When I think about the number of times our family has cooked a simple meal for another family in need, or the times that another family showed up on our doorstep to drop off a hot dinner, it makes me think of those meals very differently than others. No matter the actual dish, it is the best kind of comfort food in the world, because it was made for you, it was made because someone else cared about you.
It was important to us that the businesses providing food and drink at PaxFest were doing so because they truly wanted to be there. It was important to find businesses that feel the same way about how they feed a crowd as we do when we feed the ones we love. It’s gotta be good.
We are so very lucky and proud to have had several local businesses stand up and take on the task of serving up enough eats and drinks to keep us going all day! There will be a little something for everyone, both kids and adults. Some of the great local vendors you’ll see at the fest are:
